The Future Skills Academy was supported through the government Accelerating Learner Success Fund on two initiatives to deliver better outcomes for learners. These were the Just-In-Time app extension and the Learner Journey Mapping project, which, together, support early identification of learners at risk of disengagement or not completing courses.

The Just-In-Time app extension uses predictive analytics to identify levels of need and anticipate risks.

The Learner Journey Mapping project mapped the key stages in a student’s journey to strengthen the organisation’s data-informed evaluation and understanding.

This early identification means support is proactive and highly targeted and can enable more effective responses from the tertiary education organisation.
