Dates for submitting your April 2026 SDR

The April SDR round begins on Thursday 16 April 2026 and finishes at 5.00pm on Wednesday 29 April 2026.

Please submit your April 2026 return any time on or between these dates.

Resources for your SDR submission 

The Data Specification for the SDR is available from Single Data Return.

It includes details of new or changed data requirements and validation rules.

To monitor your enrolments against some of the funding conditions for Youth Guarantee and Delivery at Levels 1 and 2 on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (DQ1-2), check out the My Funding Conditions app at Information Products.

The DXP Data Classifications Appendices V2.0 lists values for specific fields referred to in the Data Specifications for SDR and includes a full change log in the Version Changes tab.

New data requirements for your SDR submission

New data requirements are detailed in the course enrolment section of the Data Specification for the Single Data Return V3.0.

The ITE Sector (on Course Enrolment) field was optional until 31 December 2025, and a warning was displayed until then. From 1 January 2026, this field is compulsory and the validation rules to ensure data for these fields is provided for ITE-approved qualifications.
