What is DXP Ngā Kete?

DXP Ngā Kete is a secure online portal that allows tertiary education organisations (TEOs) and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to share information.

It is a one-stop shop for:

• data submissions
• document sharing
• registers (including courses and qualifications), and
• user guides.

How can I access DXP Ngā Kete?

Login to DXP Ngā Kete

We recommend using the latest version of the following browsers for DXP Ngā Kete:

• Google Chrome
• Edge
• Firefox
• Safari for MacOS.

To request access to DXP Ngā Kete, please contact the Ministry of Education’s (MoE’s) Education Sector Logon (ESL) service desk.

The following roles are available on the MoE ESL120 form.

DXP Ngā Kete Tertiary Education Commission ESL roles

Users can have one or more DXP Ngā Kete roles.

DXP User Settings Admin

• View an organisation’s DXP Ngā Kete users and edit contact details.

DXP General Access User 

• View, upload and submit data, and view and upload documents (excluding documents classified as “Commercial Documents”).

DXP Commercial Documents User

• View and upload documents classified as “Commercial Documents”, eg, funding outcome and funding wash-up letters.

DXP Information Products User

• Access TEC Information Products.

DXP Full Access Read Only User

• View-only access to an organisation’s data and documents (including documents classified as “Commercial Documents”).

Examples of use

For roles that submit data, eg, TEC Lead Contact, Data Return contact or Gateway Coordinator:

• DXP User Settings Admin
• DXP General Access User
• DXP Information Products User
• DXP Commercial Documents User (optional, as required).

For roles that view data but do not update or submit it, eg, TEO executive:

• DXP Full Access Read Only User.

For roles that submit an RS20 annual return:

• DXP User Settings Admin
• DXP General Access User
• DXP Commercial Documents User (optional, as required).

Note that users who require access to information products should add the “Tertiary Education Commission Applications – Ngā Kete User” role to their ESL profile. This will be replaced by the DXP Ngā Kete Information Products role in 2026.
