This page explains how the Learner Assessment Report shows a learner’s achievement on the Learning Progressions and provides detailed, question-level information that educators can use to interpret results and guide teaching.

The Learner Assessment Report displays at the end of an assessment and shows the learner how they’ve done. It shows:

  • the step the learner is at on the Learning Progressions
  • whether they answered each question correctly.

An example of a Learner Assessment Report can be found at Learner Assessment Report.

The organisation administrator's and educator's view of this report also include clickable links to each question, showing step value, question intent, and the answer options the learner had to choose from.

Below is an example of a Report for Reading. Reports are set out similarly for each subject area. Refer also to the Learning Progressions.

The dotted line on an individual learner’s Learner Assessment Report shows where their achievement is located on the measurement scale. For more information on how this works, see Understanding the dots (PDF 164 KB).
