This page explains how to interpret the Individual Learner Report and use its information to understand learner performance and inform next teaching steps.

The learner can choose to see this report directly after they complete an assessment online. An educator can generate this report for any learner that has been assigned to them.

The Individual Learner Report consists of:

  • a scatter plot showing the relative difficulty (the progression step level) of each question and whether the learner got each question right or wrong
  • a list detailing the context and intent of each question.

All information regarding how to read and use the assessment data to inform teaching practice can be found on the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool (LNAAT) training programme on Pathways Awarua. This course includes:

  • how to interpret the Individual Learner Reports
  • how the results of the report relate to the Adult Learning Progressions
  • how the reports are used to inform teaching practice.

The Learning Pathway can be found at Pathways Awarua.
