This page explains how the measurement scale is mapped onto the Adult Learning Progressions in the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool (LNAAT).
The images below give a visual representation of how the measurement scale has been mapped onto the Learning Progressions.
In the LNAAT the ability estimates are rounded to the nearest whole number. For example, if a boundary point for two steps is 300, then all scores less than or equal to 300 are on the step below and all scores 301 to the next boundary point are on the step above.
