English for Families and Communities
The English for Families and English for Communities programmes are designed to support those who have English as an additional language to develop their English communication skills within an informal and relaxed community environment. Free childcare is available for 0–5-year-olds. Two mornings per week. Where spaces are available, learners are able to continue classes for free after finishing their PELT funding. Various locations in the Wellington region.

General English
Our general English classes help with speaking, listening, reading, writing and numeracy for everyday communications and social interaction. Students develop an understanding of key Māori words, how to pronounce them and Māori culture. We have five levels of English classes, from absolute beginner to intermediate. Students learn in a multicultural group with other adult students. Where spaces are available, learners are able to continue classes for free after finishing their PELT allocation.

Individual Tuition
Our PELT programme is open to adults at all levels (beginner – advanced) and is designed to support migrants in focusing on everyday English through to academic English and workplace communication. Either one-to-one or small group (family) tuition is available that is learner centred and provided by qualified teachers at our offices or in local community spaces, depending on your needs.
