TEC will soon be releasing four short videos aimed at the New Zealand business community that show how the reformed vocational education and training (VET) system is starting to come to life to meet the needs of a fast-changing future of skills, learning and work.

In the reformed system, there is a stronger focus on delivering the skills employers need in the workplace, providing more support and flexibility for their employees/learners to learn in a way that best suits them and to earn while they learn, and ensuring greater consistency in delivery across Aotearoa New Zealand.

A main video and three shorter case study videos show the audience how Workforce Development Councils and Regional Skills Leadership Groups are working on their behalf, and how engaging with these groups can influence what education and training is delivered to ensure the right skills are being developed to meet market needs now and in the future.

We expect to release the videos in early May. They will be uploaded to TEC’s YouTube channel and hosted on the TEC website.
