This page provides information about tertiary education organisation (TEO) eligibility for the Accelerating Learner Success Fund (Tūwhitia).

To be eligible for funding through the Accelerating Learner Success Fund (Tūwhitia) you must:

  • be a TEO as defined in the Education and Training Act 2020
  • have a current Learner Success Plan (LSP), and
  • receive $5 million or more in Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) on-Plan funding.

Consortia are able to apply for funding under this Fund. One TEO will be identified as a lead TEO, which TEC will provide funding to. Consortium partners can be TEOs or organisations that do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Fund, as long as the lead TEO meets the above criteria.

The $5 million threshold is determined based on your final funding allocation for the previous year, as stated in your funding confirmation letter.
