Each CAPE meets with us regularly to report on how it is using its funding, and provides detailed information in its annual report.

We assess each CAPE’s performance against a Performance Measurement Framework and on the information provided in their annual report.

We ensure that the performance of all three CAPEs aligns with the government strategies they were designed to support, including:

• the Building Export Markets stream of the Business Growth Agenda
• Goal 3 of the Leadership Statement for International Education
• the Tertiary Education Strategy, and
• NZ Inc strategies for China led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the numerous trade agreements with Asia-Pacific countries.
