2018 April Single Data Return: Student Achievement Component and Youth Guarantee
We publish Student Achievement Component (SAC) and Youth Guarantee data three times a year. Tertiary education organisations (TEOs) submit this data through the Single Data Return (SDR).
We publish Student Achievement Component (SAC) and Youth Guarantee data three times a year. Tertiary education organisations (TEOs) submit this data through the Single Data Return (SDR).
The spreadsheet shows:
- the total number of equivalent full-time students (EFTS) delivered in April 2017 and 2018
- the number of EFTS estimated to match the funding allocated to the TEO (EFTS commitment)
- a comparison between EFTS delivery and EFTS commitment

Student Achievement Component
SAC level 3 and above planned EFTS delivery versus commitment show:
- university subsector at 91.1%
- institutes of technology and polytechnics (ITP) subsector at 64.1%
- wānanga subsector at 75.6%
- private training establishments (PTE) subsector at 68.3%.
SAC levels 3-4 Competitive delivery versus commitment show:
- institutes of technology and polytechnics (ITP) subsector at 37.0 %
- private training establishments (PTE) subsector at 31.4%.
