Managing industry training delivery

Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) are responsible for arranging for and brokering the delivery of industry training intended to enable trainees to attain the standards pertinent to the qualification(s) in which trainees are enrolled. This includes arrangements for:

  1. monitoring the training to ensure that it enables trainees to attain those standards
  2. assessing trainees and the extent to which they have in fact attained those standards.

Rule ITO005:

  • Industry training organisations (ITOs) must not deliver training themselves
  • ITOs must not have any ownership stake in an organisation with which the ITO wishes to arrange training delivery.
