Investment Plans for 2010

Under the Investment Plan process, tertiary education organisations (TEOs) seeking TEC funding are required to develop Investment Plans.

Investment Plans outline how TEOs will respond to the Tertiary Education Strategy 2007–12 incorporating Statement of Tertiary Education Priorities 2008–10 (TES/STEP) and to the needs of their own stakeholders - students, employers and communities on a regional and national basis.

Universities, institutes of technology and polytechnics (ITPs), wananga, industry training organisations (ITOs), private training establishments (PTEs), other tertiary education providers (OTEPs), schools and community groups (with a few exemptions) are required to have an Investment Plan. Investment Plans for these organisations will reflect the type of organisation and level of funding received.

See Investment Plan FAQs for additional information.

Foundation and community funds

Foundation and community funds are either funded under the Investment Plan, or are "aligned" to the Investment Plan. Aligned funds are applied for within the Investment Plan process, and any funding confirmed by an approval letter rather than a Fund Schedule.
