Strategic Development Funds

This section has information on Growth Pilots, ITP Business Links Fund, Partnerships for Excellence, Encouraging and Supporting Innovation, and the Quality Reinvestment Programme.

Encouraging and Supporting Innovation

Encouraging and Supporting Innovation promotes innovation, particularly where it will benefit learners, and stakeholders outside the tertiary education sector.

Growth and Innovation Pilot Initiatives (Growth Pilots)

Growth Pilots funding is now incorporated into the Encouraging and Supporting Innovation Fund element of Tertiary Education Organisation Component (TEOC) funding.

Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITP) Business Links Fund

ITP Business Links Fund is now incorporated into the TEI Base Investment element of Tertiary Education Organisation Component (TEO Component) funding.

Partnerships for Excellence

Partnerships for Excellence aims to increase private sector investment in tertiary education and foster better links between tertiary education institutions, industry and business.

Quality Reinvestment Programme

Quality Reinvestment Programme provides $177.8 million (excluding GST) over five years to support institutes of technology and polytechnics and wananga meet the needs of learners, employers, and communities.

e-Learning Collaborative Development Fund

e-Learning Collaborative Development Fund  was designed to improve the tertiary education system's capability to deliver e-learning that improves education access and quality for learners. It aims to help achieve the co-operative and strategic implementation of e-learning in tertiary education organisations.
