Community organisations

There are many community-based organisations around the country that provide tertiary education to a wide range of learners. These organisations have a variety of structures and connections within their communities to other TEOs[1]. 

The types of funding most commonly accessed by community organisations include:

• ACE[2] and ACE networks
• ESOL[3]
• specialist services for disadvantaged groups
• intensive literacy and numeracy provision, and
• Modern Apprenticeships co-ordination.

ACE Aotearoa represents many of the country’s ACE providers.
