TEC study: tertiary education across the Auckland region
In 2009, the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) carried out a study to examine the tertiary education access needs across the Auckland region.
The objective of the study was to identify the tertiary education needs and how they can be best addressed by TEC. The study provides an access perspective to the investment needs across the Auckland region. In addition, engagement must also occur at the institutional and community level to enable greater connectedness and relevance in the education delivered.
The findings from the study has been used to inform the 2010 investment planning of the Auckland providers to achieve greater alignment in the delivery to the needs identified across the region.
