Have your say on the future areas of TEC studies

The TEC is seeking your views on any issues impacting on tertiary education in New Zealand. These can be any matter of concern, or area of success, that might prompt change in the system.

The objective of these studies is to allow the TEC and other relevant users to gain an informed picture of the tertiary education needs within New Zealand. This will enable us to determine how best the tertiary education system, through government investment and industry support, can meet these needs.

The studies may focus on a broad range of topics from specific areas of teaching or learning, right through to the pathways and relationships that connect tertiary education organisations with their community, or the capabilities that underpin any of the above.

Findings from the studies will be used by us to support our investment strategies and ensure such investments are compatible with the requirements and goals of the users and the government.

The feedback process is an ongoing opportunity to gain a wide range of input on areas that can inform the focus of future TEC studies.

What is a matter of concern?

• Any situation, reason, or cause for concern where there might be a negative impact on the successful outcome of the individual, sector, or community.

What are areas of success?

• Areas where tertiary education has been successful in assisting or enabling individuals, the sector, or wider community in achieving successful outcomes.

What will happen to my feedback?

• We will consider all feedback provided and will determine the appropriate approach in addressing the issue, as well as the priority and timing of potential areas of study.
