Some useful documents that may assist Councils include:

• Conflicts of Interest in Relation to Tertiary Education Institution Councils (PDF, 53 Kb). This assists TEI[1] Councils to deal appropriately with conflicts of interest. The information has been sourced from legislation, State Services Commission guidelines, and the Audit Office's guidelines.
• The Controller and Auditor-General's Managing the relationship between a local authority's elected members and its Chief Executive, updates their 1994 examination of local authority employment practices.
