About this Guide
This guide provides information on each potential data accuracy issue included in your Data Accuracy Report. To help you investigate further, the guide describes the effect the issue may have on your funding or EPIs, and the reasons that have caused your records to be displayed.
We explain each issue under three headings:
- What is shown in your Data Accuracy Report? (An explanation of the potential issue.)
- What is the impact? (How the issue can affect your funding or EPIs.)
- What do you need to do next? (Our recommendation on how to resolve this issue.)
For information on how SDR data is used to calculate your EPIs, refer to the TEC’s information on performance indicators for SAC-funded organisations and performance indicators for Youth Guarantee.
If you have any questions about your data accuracy report, please contact the TEC’s Sector Helpdesk at 0800 601 301, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your institution’s EDUMIS number, abbreviated name, and the words data accuracy in the subject line.
Purpose of the Data Accuracy Report
Overview of the Data Accuracy Report
The TEC produces Data Accuracy Reports to identify potential issues with TEOs’ data. Your Data Accuracy Report complements the AMP data loaded on your workspace. It is intended as an aid to identify issues which may (or may not) impact on your funding or the calculation of EPIs based on data supplied in the SDR. Where we have identified potential issues, your Data Accuracy Report will help you investigate these further and resolve any problems with your data prior to the publication of your EPIs.
All potential data issues are shown in your Data Accuracy Report under the tab labelled “Summary”. Where we have found a potential issue, we have shown the percentage of total records affected. Clicking on the link will take you to the tab containing the records with potential issues.
You will note an “Average Score” of 0.00% appears when no data accuracy issues are found.
Where we have found no records for a particular category of data accuracy issue, you will see a line of text in the tab saying “No records for this issue”.
What is included and why
The following are criteria that apply to all course enrolment, course completion and qualification completion issues, unless otherwise stated in a particular section:
- Includes records from the most recent SDR submitted.

- Only includes records for students enrolled in formal qualifications However, course records for Certificates of Personal Interest (QAC code 90) and programmes made up of selected unit standards (QAC code 98) are allowed.
- Excludes courses eligible for PBRF funding.
