Rule ALE041: ALE delivery requirements

Rule or condition
Tertiary education organisations (TEOs) receiving Adult Literacy Educator (ALE) funding must do all of the following:
- Deliver one or more of the following:
- National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Vocational Tutor/Lecturer or Workplace Trainer)
- National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator)
- Diploma in Education (Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education)
- Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Adult Literacy and Numeracy)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education)
- Masters of Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education.
- Be registered and accredited to deliver the above qualification(s), including course approval from the appropriate quality assurance body
- Deliver ALE funded programmes in geographical locations approved by the Tertiary Education Commission to ensure regional spread of training
- Provide a learning environment that is responsive and flexible to meet the physical, cultural and learning needs of learners
- Ensure that all learners and other stakeholders are fully informed of all the following:
- The TEO's ALE funded programme
- The TEO's disciplinary and complaints procedures
- The TEO's policies relating to holding learners’ personal information, and learners’ rights to review such information
- Monitor the progress of ALE funded learners
- Use the funding to best achieve the targets set out for ALE-funded programmes.
