Rule ENR015: Domestic student status - claiming SAC for secondary school students

Student Achievement Component funding can be claimed by a tertiary education organisation for enrolments of secondary school students over the age of 16 only if both of the following are satisfied:

• The learner is not required to be absent from school during school hours to undertake the tertiary study, unless the school claims reduced funding for the learner
• The learner has a letter from their secondary school principal confirming the principal is satisfied that the learner is capable of undertaking the tertiary study as well as the learner's secondary school study.
