What is an Investment Plan?

An Investment Plan (Plan) must describe:

  • how a tertiary education organisation (TEO) will achieve Government priorities set out in the Tertiary Education Strategy
  • a TEO’s mission and role in the tertiary sector
  • all the tertiary education programmes and activities run or undertaken by a TEO
  • the outcomes proposed by a TEO, including performance indicators.

To receive funding, many TEOs are required to have Investment Plans including universities, institutes of technology and polytechnics, wānanga, industry training organisations, private training establishments, other tertiary education providers, schools and community groups (with a few exemptions).
