Bright Futures

• What is the purpose of the Bright Futures fund?

  To support students who pursue studies with a considerable research component. Covers NQF level 7 and above programmes (ie. above 3rd year of Honours undergraduate level up to PhD). Unfortunately, the TEC no longer offers new TADs and ENT scholarships.

• I am an existing TADs/ENTs scholar, will I be affected by the dis-establishment of the above scholarships.

  If you are a current TADs/ENTs scholar, you will not be affected by the dis-establishment of the TADs and ENTs.

• I am an existing TADs scholar, how can I access my conference cost entitlements?

  Please contact your university to access your conference cost entitlements.

• I am an existing TADs/ENTs scholar, what should I include in my progress/ final reports?

  Please contact your university. Alternatively, the Reporting Guidelines can be found on the TEC website for your reference. Please ensure your progress/final report is signed by yourself and your mentor (electronic and faxed signatures will not be accepted).

• What do I need to do if I need to suspend/extend/terminate my TADs/ENTs scholarship?

  Any changes to your scholarship (including suspension, extension, and termination) will require TEC approval. You will need to send us a letter stating the reasons for the variation and the anticipated completion date. This letter will need to be signed by yourself and your supervisor (we do not accept electronic nor faxed signatures). The letter should be sent to the TEC Service Centre .
