Forest Industry Training and Education Council of New Zealand
Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the Forest Industry Training and Education Council of New Zealand has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 17 December 2008 to 17 December 2013, to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the forest industries (forest establishment, silviculture, harvesting, solid wood processing, wood panel manufacturing, and pulp and paper); credit management and control industries; and the biosecurity (border quarantine) industry covering Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Service staff engaged in border quarantine activities including international cargo clearances, international vessel clearances, international aircraft clearances and international mail clearances, and the furniture industries (wooden and upholstered furniture, furniture finishing (polishing), bedding manufacture and metal furniture).
