Funding

From 2010, funding will be more closely linked to performance.

To be eligible for funding an PTE must:

  • meet PTE eligibility criteria
  • have an Investment Plan
  • keep accurate records, and publish programme and learner information as required by us under Rule ENR019[1]
  • ensure that the programmes being funded meet and continue to meet the relevant fund eligibility criteria and requirements.

Some funds require courses/qualifications to be accredited by NZQA.

Funding is appropriated through the Government’s Budget process. Read more information about the impact of Budget 09 on PTEs.
