What does it cost?

Tertiary level study usually involves a cost. The cost will depend on a number of factors including the qualification and tertiary education organisation that you decide on.

You will need to contact the tertiary education organisation directly to determine the fees associated with the qualification that you are interested in. Tertiary education organisations’ websites are a good place to start as they often provide an indication of the cost of study.

If you are a New Zealand resident you are likely to be eligible for a student loan and/or allowance. Information on student loans and allowances can be found on the StudyLink website.

Grants and scholarships

There are thousands of scholarships, grants and awards to help learners in their tertiary education studies, from fees and course costs to living expenses.

A good place to start finding out about them is at the Careers New Zealand website.
