What can I learn and where

If you’re thinking of deciding on a course of study or training, there are a few things you’ll need to know. The first is that there are hundreds of approved courses and registered tertiary education providers, ranging from school transition services through to research degrees.

This is good news as it means that someone, somewhere, will be offering a course or training to meet your needs. However, sometimes it can be hard to choose between them.

To help you choose, the Careers New Zealand website provides heaps of useful information about education and training.

If you’ve just received your NCEA results, you can start looking at your options. There are many study and training opportunities available, so to help you out Career Services and NZQA have created a brochure about the tertiary set-up and what you can do. You can free text TERTIARY to 434 to be sent a copy, or download it now.

Once you’ve settled on a likely course of study or training, you can use the links below to help you find the right provider.

When you’ve decided what you want to study, there are two more things you’ll want to know: How do I enrol and What does it cost?
