1 7th year only if PGDipPysch internship is unpaid.

3 Eligible PhD and professional doctorate students studying for a PhD or professional doctorate on or after 1 January 2007 may access up to 156 weeks (three years) of student allowance payments, in addition to the standard 200-week entitlement that is available to students over a lifetime. Doctorate students who have already completed a recognised long prgoramme are excluded from this policy under regulation 21(2) of the Student Allowances Regulation 1998.

4 The prerequisite year courses must be selected from those specified by the New Zealand College of Chiropractic (the only provider of this qualification).

5 Recognition applies to both Bachelor of Fine Arts/Master of Fine Arts (2 years) and Bachelor of Fine Arts/Postgraduate Diploma of Fine Arts (1 year)/Master of Fine Arts (1 year).

6 The BE and BE with Honours degrees comprise the same course of study, with Honours being awarded for academic merit.

7 Includes pre-requisite intermediate study (e.g. Health Sciences First Year or Bachelor of Science first year)
