Part-time delivery

TEOs preparing to deliver a qualification on both a full-time and a part-time basis should submit the qualification for funding approval to us as a full-time qualification. This ensures learners can access both student allowances and the Student Loan Scheme.

A qualification delivered on a part-time basis does not meet the loan entry threshold. Under Rule SAL006 it is not eligible for approval for learner access to student allowances, but can be approved for learner access to the Student Loan Scheme if it has an Equivalent Full Time Student value of 0.25 EFTS or more.
