TEO audits

The TEC conducts audits of tertiary education organisations (TEOs) receiving funding from the TEC. This provides assurance that funding claimed by TEOs is valid and compliant with TEC’s funding rules and conditions. This is a standard function as part of the TEC’s overall approach for monitoring TEOs. 

TEOs who are to undergo an audit will be contacted by our audit team with more operational details. We would then work with TEOs to confirm the findings and the action required as a result of the audit report.

We would also work with other government agencies to ensure there is clarity in responsibility and co-ordinating activity avoiding any unnecessary duplication.  Where considered necessary this will also involve sharing information with other agencies.
