Learner status

Learners must be identified as having the status of either domestic student or foreign student during the admission and enrolment process.

This learner status dictates the level of SAC funding supported by the enrolment, as well as learner access to student allowances and the Student Loan Scheme.

International learners in New Zealand who do not qualify as domestic students have the status of foreign students.
