Monitoring and reporting

TEOs[1] receiving Youth Training funding must achieve the targets specified in Condition YTR029. Performance against the targets will be considered when monitoring each TEO’s performance and in determining future funding levels.

We monitor delivery of Youth Training programmes through:

• occupancy rates
• acquisition of qualifications, or credits towards them, by learners
• achievement of employment and further training outcomes by learners
• the achievement of Māori and Pacific learners compared to other groups of learners
• the extent to which the outcomes achieved by learners match the aim of the programme
• provision of reports to us
• individual learning plans
• any other matter or aspect of the Youth Training programmes that we reasonably consider relevant.

Condition TOP035[2] and the Youth Training Handbook state the reporting requirements. TEOs must maintain records in accordance with Condition YTR030.

  Tertiary education organisations delivering Foundation-Focused Training Opportunities (FFTO) programmes must provide the Tertiary Education Commission with all reports, information, and documents required when and as stated in the FFTO Handbook (PDF, 496 Kb).
