Workplace Literacy - Employee-targeted
TEO[1]s that receive funding from the Employee-targeted sub-fund are required to use the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool for employees whose skills fall within the Learning Progressions.
Provider Obligations
TEOs are required to submit three reports for the calendar year in which funding is allocated. This includes two progress updates and one final report. The following reporting template should be used for both progress reports and the final report to provide a whole of year view of performance.
Progress reports
TEOs will need to submit updates on progress in relation to the specific delivery commitments outlined in their Investment Plan. These updates will include:
- Number of learners (enrolled for the report period)
- Learner hours (delivered for the report period)
- Regions of delivery
- List of NSNs[2] for all learners enrolled during the reporting period.
These progress reports will cover the following reporting periods for 2011:
- 1 January-31 May; and
- 1 June- 30 September.
These updates are due to our Service Centre within 10 working days of the end of the reporting period.
Final Report
TEOs will also need to submit a final report on performance which provides data on the period covering 1 October-31 December of the calendar in which funding is allocated. This report will include the following information:
- Total number of learners (enrolled)
- Total learner hours (delivered)
- NSNs of any learners not reported in previous updates
- Summary of learner demographics
- Declaration that confirms that:
- before and after assessments of literacy and numeracy have occurred
- every learner’s progress has been monitored, and
- performance indicators have been met
- Employment details (i.e. full-time, part-time, seasonal).
This report will be for the calendar year and is due at our Service Centre 31 January 2012.
Learning Progressions Data
In addition, TEOs are required to submit data that details the number of learners that have shown an improvement in literacy and numeracy skills as measured against the Learning Progressions for Adult Literacy and Numeracy.
In 2011 this information will be collected via the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool, except for those learners currently working at Starting Points.
TEOs are required to submit this data and should submit their learning progressions data when submitting their final report.
If the final report has already been submitted, the learning progressions data must be sent to our Service Centre with the following subject line: [Edumis no.] [Provider name] Learning progressions data 2011
In addition, TEOs will need to ensure that data is collected for each individual learner. This information may be audited by us.
