Requirements for learners

Eligible employees must:

• be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents
• not be full-time students
• not be simultaneously accessing literacy and numeracy training through either Industry Training Organisation Embedded Literacy and Numeracy Project or Workplace Employee Targeted funding
• be employed in the paid workforce
• participate voluntarily.

Literacy and numeracy programmes offered through funding from the Workplace Literacy fund should be targeted towards employees with no or low qualifications or low literacy and numeracy skills, and must be provided free to the employees.
