2011 FUNDING

A new round of WPL funding for employers only has opened and will close 5pm Friday 18 November.
Applicants will be required to complete and submit a WPL application form.

An information booklet is available for employers. The booklet contains helpful information about Workplace Literacy and the application process.

Application process

Due to limited funding available it is unlikely every application will be successful. Funding decisions will be based on the information employers provide in their application form. This information will then be considered against the assessment criteria outlined in the application form.

Some employers have expressed concern about the minimum of 40 hours being required for all learners (and the resulting lack of flexibility to use resources as effectively as possible). TEC is currently not in a position to change this as it is a requirement of the present funding determination. The TEC will, in consultation with employers, review this in 2012 for 2013 funding.

The TEC supports sustainable workplace literacy and numeracy programmes that are of benefit to employees and business. We will continue to provide advice and guidance to employer programmes currently underway.

Employers may still access workplace literacy programmes for their employees by contacting any of the funded Workplace Literacy Fund approved providers.
