SAC and Youth Guarantee funding rates
Rates are subject to the government’s Budget and, where applicable, CPI adjustments are indicative until confirmed. Rates are specific to each sub-sector.
The SAC[1] (including Youth Guarantee) rates for 2011 have been set following Budget 2010. These have been calculated by increasing the 2010 SAC rates by 2.2%.
TEIs
The rates for TEIs include the TEI Base Investment proportion, or "top slice", which is being transferred from the TEO Component back into SAC from 2011.
To remove rounding effects, the SAC rates have been set at the highest rate determined for any TEI subsector.
For university postgraduate rates, the highest undergraduate rate has been used, with the postgraduate premium added.
PTEs
PTEs that have been recognised under section 321 of the Education Act 1989 as OTEPs will have their SAC and Youth Guarantee rates transitioned to the PTE rate by 2013.
