Programme classifications
Some qualifications, for example Medicine, are classified in programme classifications. We treat these qualifications in a different manner for funding purposes.
The compulsory courses that make up these qualifications attract the funding category assigned to the qualification as a whole. In contrast, courses normally support funding according to their own funding category regardless of their home qualification.
Undergraduate qualifications claimed as programmes must be aggregated qualifications. Postgraduate qualifications must be disaggregated in accordance with Rule SAC064[1].
Sometimes a learner may take extra courses that contain non-professional content outside the programme, for example art, in which cases Rule SAC063[2] applies.
