ESAA Logins
All users of the PBRF Quality Evaluation IT System will first need to have an ESAA login (comprising a user name and password) that has been registered by the Ministry of Education.
If you do not have an ESAA login you will need to apply for one through the TEC.
If you have already have an ESAA login you will need to apply to have the PBRF QE IT System added to it.
Either way, please download the ESAA PBRF Access Request form (PDF, 35 Kb) and follow the steps below.
- If you need a New ESAA Login, complete all of Part 1 of the form
- If you have an existing ESAA login, enter your ESAA Id and Provider Code in Part 1 of the form.
- Tick the TEO Administrator box in Part 2 and sign Part 3 of the form
- Get your TEO Authoriser to sign Part 4
- Fax or mail the form (PDF, 35Kb) to the TEC Service Centre (details on the form) or email it to pbrfhelp@tec.govt.nz
- The form will be actioned and the Ministry of Education will email you your ESAA user name and password
- You can now access the PBRF QE IT System (refer to the Getting Started section in the Submission Phase User Guide)
Applying for FTP username and login
If your organisation chooses to upload xml EP files or NRO files via the FTP process, you will need to request the FTP username login that has been set up specifically for your organisation.
The TEC has put a process in place to ensure this information is held securely and only given out to authorised TEO Administrators.
To obtain the FTP username and login for your organisation please follow the steps below.
- A TEO Administrator at a TEO must have received their ESAA login before they can request the FTP username.
- Once the TEO Administrator has their ESAA login for PBRF, please email the PBRF HelpDesk at pbrfhelp@tec.govt.nz requesting your FTP username and login. Please include a contact phone number so that a PBRF Support Person can phone you back with the details.
- The TEC will check that you are an authorised TEO Administrator.
- A PBRF Support Person will phone you and give out the FTP User name and login.
- Please ensure this information is kept secure and not made available to unauthorised users.
- You can contact the PBRF HelpDesk to get the password reset if you ever feel there has been a potential security breach at your organisation.
Note:
- FTP info cannot be given out to anyone who has not yet received their ESAA login for PBRF
- You do not have to apply for the FTP username and login – your organisation may decide to upload files online so won’t use the FTP process.
