The Intensive Literacy and Numeracy fund is an on-Plan fund from 2011 and is agreed through the Investment Plan process.

The Intensive Literacy and Numeracy fund focuses on strong literacy, language and numeracy learning opportunities for learners with low level literacy and numeracy skills.

From 2011, ILN funding is agreed through the Investment Plan process. Delivery of the Plan is monitored by us.

Any TEO that receives funding must abide by a number of rules and conditions.

Access to Intensive Literacy and Numeracy funding will be considered in accordance with government policy, (as directed by the Minister’s determination under section 159L of the Education Act 1989), the Tertiary Education Strategy and in response to performance.
