Gateway

Payment

2012 payments will be made to Gateway schools as 12 equal payments up to the total annual amount of funding approved through the Plan as specified under Rule GAT025[1]. Further details on payments are available in the Gateway Handbook.

Gateway funding may not be used for activities already funded by the Crown and other activities specified under Condition GAT018[2].

Where costs arise and a school is not sure if those costs are covered by the amount specified in its Plan, the school must seek clarification from our Service Centre before incurring those costs.
The annual funding wash-up process for Gateway occurs early in the year following delivery. It allows us to identify where payments made do not reflect actual delivery. Where a school is funded for more places than it delivers during a given year, the amount of over-funding will be recovered by the TEC. Any funding recovery processes will occur in accordance with the Gateway Funding Mechanism (PDF, 150 Kb).
