Reporting

Providers must report three times and year, and those reports must now include actual course enrolment numbers. Reports must be submitted by TEOs[1] to our Service Centre, as specified under Condition ALE042[2], using the ALE report template.

The ALE report template has been updated to reflect new reporting requirements. These reports are due by 15 March, 31 July, and 15 December (if the TEO delivers during the third trimester) and a final report in February 2012.

Specific reporting requirements for the qualifications are as follows:

  • National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Vocational Tutor, Lecturer or Workplace Trainer): the TEO must report against the number of actual completions 12 months after study commences.
  • National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator): the TEO must report against the number of students that are on track to complete the qualification 12 months after study commences, followed by actual completions 24 months after study commences.
  • Approved qualifications of 120 credits at NZQF and equivalent to level 6 and above: the TEO must report against the number of students that are on track to complete the qualification 12 and 24 months after study commences, followed by actual completions 36 months later.

    Condition ALE042: ALE reporting

    Tertiary education organisations receiving Adult Literacy Educator (ALE) funding for 2011 provision must submit the following:

    • ALE report four times per annum, on 15 March, 31 July, and 15 December (for third trimester delivery), with the final report due on 1 February 2012. These reports should focus on three key areas:
      • funded qualifications, including individual papers and/or unit standards
      • successful outcomes
      • future planning.
    • Specific reporting requirements for the qualifications are as follows:
      • National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Vocational Tutor/Lecturer or Workplace Trainer): the TEO must report against the number of actual completions 12 months after study commences
      • National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator): the TEO must report against the number of students that are on track to complete the qualification 12 months after study commences, followed by actual completions 24 months after study commences
