The purpose of the ACE[1] fund is to provide adults with community-based education, foundation skills and pathways into other learning opportunities that meet identified community learning needs and funded ACE priorities.

ACE is delivered in different sectors:

ACE funding is agreed through the Investment Plan. Delivery of the Plan is monitored by us.

Any TEO that receives ACE funding must abide by a number of rules and conditions.

Access to ACE funding will be considered in accordance with government policy, (as directed by the Minister’s determination under section 159L of the Education Act 1989), the current Tertiary Education Strategy, and in response to performance.
