    Adult and Community Education (ACE)

The purpose of the ACE[1] fund is to provide adults with community-based educational opportunities that meet identified community learning needs and funded ACE priorities.

All TEOs[2] receiving ACE funding must abide by Condition TRA001[3].

To avoid duplication of provision, all ACE activities should be organised in liaison with other ACE organisations within their local ACE network where possible.

ACE is delivered in different sectors:

ACE funding is agreed through the Investment Plan. Delivery of the Plan is monitored by us.

Any TEO that receives funding must abide by a number of rules and conditions.

Access to ACE funding will be considered in accordance with government policy, (as directed by the Minister’s determination under section 159L of the Education Act 1989), the current Tertiary Education Strategy, and in response to performance.
