Investment Plan cycle – What’s coming up?
Plan Guidance
Plan Guidance for TEOs submitting Plans for 2012 has been published and explains how organisations are expected to contribute to achieving Tertiary Education Strategy priorities.
Full details are available on our website.
Initial allocation letters
If your organisation receives any of the following funds you can expect an initial allocation letter in the next few days.
- Gateway
- ACE in Schools
- ACE in Communities
- Student Achievement Component (SAC)
- Foundation-Focussed Training Opportunities (FFTO)
- Intensive Literacy and Numeracy (ILN)
- Adult Literacy Educator Grant (ALEG).
Initial allocation letters will be loaded to Workspace. There will be no hard copy letters sent so please ensure you have an active ESAA login to access Workspace.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
The new ESOL places announced in Budget 2011 will be included as part of the Intensive Literacy and Numeracy fund from 2012. We are working with the Ministry of Education (MoE) to finalise this process. When this is done we will advise how these places will be allocated.
Youth Training and Youth Guarantee
Initial 2012 funding allocations for Youth Training and Youth Guarantee have not been finalised. These funds will be merged into a new targeted programme to be known from 2012 as Youth Guarantee.
The MoE has been leading consultation on the new programme with sector peak bodies. We have been working with the MoE to finalise the operational details and administrative requirements of the new Youth Guarantee.
We expect to advise initial allocations for the new Youth Guarantee in August 2011. More information about 2012 Youth Guarantee is available.
Workplace Literacy
A new reporting template for WPL, replacing the September progress report, has been developed and published on our website.
All completed reports are due at our Service Centre by 12 August 2011. Initial 2012 funding allocations for WPL will be made once the information in that report has been considered.
We expect to be able to communicate 2012 initial funding allocations for WPL in late August.
Plan submission timeframes
Organisations can expect to be able to submit their 2012 Plans shortly and we will advise you of the specific dates later this month.
We encourage you to prepare submission information now so it can be submitted promptly once the Plan submission tool is available.
ESAA login – Workspace access
The Plan submission tool is accessed through Workspace. To access Workspace you will need an ESAA (Education Sector Authentication and Authorisation) login.
Please ensure an appropriate staff member has an ESAA login. You may need to set up new logins and arrange for any logins that are no longer used to be deleted.
Further information about getting an ESAA login is available for the MoE.
