Publication of performance information in 2012
Later this year, the TEC will be publishing information about the 2011 educational performance of ITOs and SAC-funded tertiary education organisations. We will publish the information in a similar format to last year.
Process for publication
Organisations should currently be submitting their December Single Data Return (which is due no later than 31 January). Data and data accuracy reports will be placed on your Workspaces in February* – this will be enrolment data only.
Your April Single Data Return is due for submission in May. As with the December data, once submissions have closed, we will analyse the data and place it on your Workspaces – we expect this to be made available in early June, and will include completion data as well as enrolment data.
Once this information is available on your Workspace, you will have a one-month review period to make any changes to your data, and to resubmit it if necessary. Please check your information carefully as no changes can be made after the one-month review is concluded.
Following this, we will work towards publication. A copy of the final publication format will be placed on your Workspace three days before the TEC makes the information public. We expect to be ready to publish information in August.
We will work with peak bodies and your Communications teams to ensure you are supported and informed during this process.
Performance Linked Funding
As you are aware, from 2012, SAC funding decisions will be based on your 2011 performance against four educational performance indicators. The information provided in your SDR will be used for these funding decisions, which wil affect up to 5% of your SAC funding. More information on performance linked funding will be provided in coming months.
* Please note – there was an issue raised in December where some data on Analyse My Performance was incorrect, due to issues with uploaded files. This issue has now been resolved, and corrected data will be made available in February.
