For 2011, the Annual Maximum Fee Movement (AMFM) policy replaces the Fee/Course Costs Maxima policy.
The consultation period for the proposed AMFM policy details closed on 19 August 2010.
The AMFM applies to all non-degree, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses at all TEOs. There are no maximum fees, but annual fee increases are limited.
Without an exception, the maximum allowable fee increase is four percent. All TEOs are able to apply for an exception to this limit, to allow course fees to increase by up to a total of eight percent.
TEOs wishing to apply for an exception must lodge a Notice of Intent by 5 pm, Friday 17 September 2010. Full applications are due by 5pm, 11 October 2010.
Application documents have now been posted on the TEC website. We will post the required chartered accountant’s attestation template on the web by 5 pm, Friday 17 September 2010.
