Workspace 2 Update: improvements to usability and training

7 March 2016

We’re making some improvements to Workspace 2 over the next few months. These will improve usability and training resources, based on feedback received from you.

To begin with, in the next couple of weeks you will notice some changes to Workspace 2’s design and information structure.

We’re also launching a Workspace 2 training site to help you get more familiar with the system. We’ll send you another update before we make these changes, advising when Workspace 2 will be unavailable.

New look and feel

We will be updating the design of Workspace 2 to align with our new visual identity. The updated site will look like this:

New sections

We will also be adding two new sections to Workspace 2:

  • My Performance: All data that was previously published and accessible within the Analyse My Performance (AMP) section of Workspace, will now be published in the My Performance section within Workspace 2. This section will be available in all TEO sites, however only SAC and YG funded providers will have data available.

  • My Archived Documents: We’ve noticed a number of provider sites are already getting quite full with documents. Documents from the My Documents section that haven’t been modified for six months will be automatically moved into the My Archived Documents section. We hope this will make it easier for you to find things in My Documents. Note that this will not apply to Data Collection documents. They will remain in the My Documents section even if they haven’t been changed in six months.

Training

To help you get more familiar with the system, we are setting up a Workspace 2 training site. This will allow you to have a play around and fill in Data Collection templates without affecting data that you need to formally submit to us.

You will be able to access the training site using your existing ESAA credentials, just like with the main Workspace 2 site. If you need an ESAA login to access Workspace 2 production or training, visit the Ministry of Education website for further information. Users must have the Workspace role associated with their ESAA account to access Workspace 2.

If you are having problems using Workspace 2 or need to refresh your skills, remember we have a a range of resources available on this website to help you with Workspace 2 – these can be found on the Workspace 2 User Guides and instructional videos page.
