Finalising 2011 Performance Information – timeframe extended

28 June 2012

As you know, we are working with tertiary education organisations (TEOs) to finalise their 2011 performance data.

When completed, we will be using this data for the Investment Plan process, to inform our publication of TEOs’ performance information, and to inform our reporting on the tertiary education sector later in the year.

Finalisation of 2011 performance data: Revised timeframes

We have decided to extend the timeframe for finalising 2011 data as follows:

  • We will load revised data onto Workspaces on 10 July. Changes made up to 5pm on 5 July will be included.
  • We will load finalised data onto Workspaces the week beginning 29 July. Changes made up to 5pm on 26 July will be included.

The process for updating the ‘Plan commitments progress monitoring report’ is slightly different and we will need to know if any of the commitments in this report do not align with your Investment Plan for 2011 by 5pm on 20 July 2012.

Why has the timeframe been extended?

Last week we updated the ‘Analyse My Performance’ section of your Workspace with the latest data and advised you of some changes made to the qualification dimensions: Qualification EFTS, Qualification Award Category codes and Qualification register level.

Feedback from TEOs has shown us that in some cases the data we uploaded is not showing correctly on TEOs’ Workspaces. We’d like to take some time to fully test and correct this problem.

We have also received a number of late queries this year which would have been difficult to work through on the previous timeframes.

Queries about the data

If you have any questions, you may find answers on the recently updated definitions and rules and detailed questions and answers documents on the TEC website. We have also updated the user guides which are available in the ‘Analyse My Performance’ section on your Workspace.

You can also contact the TEC Service Centre at servicecentre@tec.govt.nz

We recommend you contact us early with your queries because some issues take time to investigate.  For example, correcting some issues may require that you correct your data. As the TEC will not be considering any extensions beyond 26 July 2012, it is important to address any problems as soon as possible.
