11 January 2016
The 2015 December Single Data Return (SDR) for all tertiary education organisations receiving Student Achievement Component (SAC) and Youth Guarantee (YG) funding is now due 5pm 29 January 2016.
We have updated the Workforce Questionnaire which is now due 29 February 2016. The questionnaire relates to the 2015 calendar year.
We are implementing a Stop Gate to help us manage late submissions and re-submissions of a full set of files. This means you won’t be able to submit your SDR after 5pm 29 January 2016. We will consider submissions outside of the SDR round on a case-by-case basis, for example if an error is found after submission. Please contact the TEC Sector Helpdesk for further details.
Why timely submissions are needed
The accuracy and completeness of the information you provide in your SDR is important in supporting funding decisions, monitoring performance and reporting on tertiary education achievement. Please note that your enrolment data will be used to determine payments relating to SAC under-25 fees-free and YG exceptional travel funding. Submitting your SDR on time and accurately will also ensure scheduled payments will occur on time. If your SDR is submitted late or is inaccurate, it may result in delays to your scheduled payments.
We strongly recommend you start trialling your file validation early so you can address any potentials errors.
New and change requests and information on SDR submission
To help you meet the submission deadline of 5pm 29 January 2016, we need you to submit your 2015 course and/or qualification change requests before 5pm 22 January 2016. We can’t guarantee the timely processing of your requests if you submit them after 22 January 2016.
You can access information on SDR submission at www.steo.govt.nz. You can also access the quick reference guide in this website's resources section. The expectations regarding course/qualification change requests and SDR timelines, accuracy and resubmissions are now available on our website. You can access this information in the SDR section on our website. Who to contact for help
